My name is Octavio Cuartas and I am the founder of Of Lakilands, a project born of a deep passion for the Lakeland Terrier.
My story with the breed began in 2015 with Ares (Zavetnaya Metcha Imperial), the dog who awakened in me the desire to devote my life to breeding and showing these extraordinary terriers. From his very first shows he earned important national and international honours, setting out on a path that, over the years, would become a life's work.
The dog who started it all. He stood out in the ring from puppyhood and became the foundation of everything that followed.
The bitch who confirmed our love for the breed and, above all, for its bitches. With her came our first Adult Best in Show at a mandatory-point show.
With her we competed across Europe and established our international presence.
An elegant, consistent bitch who raised the level of our breeding programme.
Six puppies, four of whom became champions in several countries. Bubba, Chloe and Minerva were born from this litter.
One of the most influential dogs of our journey. His success carried the name of our bloodline all the way to Asia, where he completed his career with another breeder.
Bubba's littermate and one of the four champions to come out of that first litter. She is still very much part of the family.
A litter that means a great deal to us: Bambam, Cosmos, Bendita Locura and Baco were all born from it, and all four went on to become Spanish Champions.
One of the most successful Lakeland Terriers ever born in Spain and the absolute benchmark of our breeding. In 2026 she became a mother for the first time.

Bambam embodies everything we strive for in our breeding: beauty, quality, temperament, health and the ability to compete at the very highest level.
Behind every one of our dogs lie years of study, selection and dedication: we breed few litters because quality will always come before quantity. Beyond the trophies, the greatest pride of Of Lakilands is seeing our dogs leave their mark around the world, knowing that each one represents the work, the passion and the love for a breed that changed my life forever.
We breed for the Lakeland Terrier, never at its expense. We honour the standard, the type and the temperament that make the breed unique.
Every mating is planned by studying health, pedigree, movement and character. We seek balance, not numbers.
Our dogs live indoors, as part of the family. Puppies grow up surrounded by affection, stimulation and socialisation.
Our commitment does not end when the puppy reaches its new home: that is where it begins. We advise on feeding, training, coat care and socialisation, and remain available throughout the dog's entire life.
We want to know every family, understand their way of life and make certain that each Lakeland finds the home it deserves.
